Mānawatia a Matariki
Matariki was marked at our Auckland International Campus today with a video about the meaning of the event, a quiz, games, and shared kai.
Matariki is an important time in Aotearoa New Zealand. Also known as the Māori New Year, it celebrates the return of the Matariki star cluster.
It’s a time to reflect on the past year, celebrate the present, and plan for the year ahead.
We celebrated on Level 1 of the campus by learning about the occasion, testing our knowledge, sharing some soup and bread, and having a go at weaving paper stars.
