Construction alumni give career advice
The Employability Team and the Construction Department co-hosted an Alumni Panel Talk and Networking Event on campus last night. It was a great success and a valuable experience for our students.
Our alumni shared their real-world experiences, insights, and advice with current students, offering a glimpse into the post-study journey and the evolving construction industry in Aotearoa.
From practical tips to stories of resilience and success, the panel left our students motivated and better prepared for their own career pathways.
With the current construction job market being particularly challenging, the value of gaining hands-on experience through internships has never been clearer. Events like these are a crucial step in helping students build connections, gain industry insights, and take active steps toward their career goals before graduation.
We're so proud to see our graduates giving back. A big thank you to everyone who joined us, and especially to our alumni for their generosity and wisdom.
