Students explore IT and AI careers
Eleven Bachelor of IT and Master of AI Integrated Solutions students attended the NZ IT and AI Job Forum on Sunday.
The offsite field trip was a collaboration between the Auckland International Campus Information Technology and Employability departments.
This event brought together job seekers, students, career changers, migrants, recruiters, and professionals to share practical career advice, real hiring insights, and pathways into IT, data, cloud, cybersecurity, and AI-related roles.
Our Employability Specialist accompanied students to the event where they had opportunities to hear insights, network, and participate in an AI Hackathon.
Students noted that they "really enjoyed learning, connecting and hearing different perspectives from industry", "diving deep into industry trends" and gaining a "better understanding of the evolving IT and AI job market in New Zealand".
